The colourists at Jamie Carroll Hair and Beauty strive to create colours which not only enhance your haircut and natural skin tones, but will not compromise the integrity of your hair and suit your lifestyle and budget.
We recommend Colour Pact hair products that seal in the colour, reflect light and shine and protect your hair from fading. These are made in salon to suit your individual hair colour.
Who?
Ideal for glossing up your colour. Semi permanent colour will not lighten your hair it will only add depth and tone.
What?
Semi permanent colour is not damaging for your hair. It will give your hair shine and is a conditioning treatment. A semi can darken the hair and add different tones giving up to 20% blending of grey. A semi is great for a special occasion or as a refresher colour.
How?
Following a shampoo, your hair is towl dried and colour is applied for 20 minutes. Then we shampoo and condition your hair.
When?
Semi permanent colour lasts up to 6 washes. For a more translucent effect, the colour will gradually fade out of the hair which means you will experience minimal growth.
Who?
Foils are ideal for those seeking a sun kissed look or subtle or more dramatic colour variations in a range of fashion colours.
What?
Foils are a highlighting or lowlighting technique using one or more tones.
Foils 1 - Foils are scattered through the hair to achieve a subtle sun kissed result or a more dramatic contrast is achieved by using thicker sections.
Foils 2 - Half head of foils.
Foils 3 - Top half of the head is foiled past the crown or the back hairline is foiled.
Foils 4 - Full head of foils on hair chin length or shorter.
Foils 5 - Full head of foils on hair longer than the chin line.
Who?
If you are seeking to change your present hair colour, lighter, darker or even the tone of your hair.
What?
It is always a long process to achieve extreme colour change. When considering a colour change, we recommend a consultation prior to your appointment. This helps in achieving a great colour result whilst meeting your expectations.
How?
Lighter - If you wish to go lighter than your present colour, we will need to strip your previous colour out. This procedure takes some time and several techniques may be used.
Darker - To colour the hair darker we need to 'fill' the hair with artificial pigment. We use and recommend Colour Pact products which are shampoo-based fillers as these achieve the best results.
Tone - Tonal correction is for hair that is chlorine green or hair that has considerable tonal fade. It requires a minimal fill and then colour is applied to the mid length and ends.
When?
A consultation is the most important part of this service. We recommend a consultation with your stylist a week prior to your colour correction appointment so we can discuss your requirements and recommend the correct course of action to achieve your desired results.
